Unilever Nigeria’s Future-X Unilever Campus Ambassadors Program (FUCAP) – Supply Chain Planning Internship

Unilever Nigeria’s Future-X Unilever Campus Ambassadors Program is providing working experience opportunities for Graduates and Undergraduates alike. Unilever Nigeria is one of the leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies in Nigeria operating in various sectors including Personal Care and Nutrition. Some of our brands include Closeup, Vaseline and Knorr.

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey with us? Do you have good communication and problem-solving skills? Join us for 1-year as a Supply Chain Planning intern if you meet the requirements listed below.

Duration: 1 Year
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Working hours: 8am – 5pm (Mondays – Fridays)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Unilever Nigeria’s Future-X Unilever Campus

  • Analyse inventory levels and forecast demand to determine material requirements for all production facilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and procurement, to prioritize material orders based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain while adhering to Unilever’s ethical sourcing guidelines.
  • Generate reports and provide analysis to support decision-making processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to anticipate potential material shortages or price fluctuations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, Unilever’s policies, and quality standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production related environment.
  •  Proficiency in inventory management and business-related applications including ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in supply chain management.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have a passion for high performance.
  • Available to work fulltime for the duration of 1 year.
