#Lily’s POV#
I was deep asleep, suddenly I felt someone else’s presence in the room. My eyes fluttered open to see the magnificent physique of my husband loosing his tie.
“Darling”I blurted out his name in a yawn.
“Yes Lily”He replied. Yes, he never called me sweet named, to him I didn’t worth those sweet names.
“I’ve been waiting for you to arrive for so long that I dozed off, why didn’t you arrive sooner? It’s past eleven hunny”I said as I looked at the digital clock on the night stand.
“Is there anything you’d want me to do, I don’t see why my arrival should be early”he spoke.
“I just wanted to discuss with you something important”
“Go on”He replied without turning to look at me.
“The doc said the baby is a boy”i verbalized,
“Okay?… that’s great, so….”
“We should start preparing, we should buy his stuffs ahead darling”
“I understand you’re not in the condition to go around and buy stuffs, yes you’re pregnant and you shouldn’t stress. I understand and I will do that for you hunny…”he called me a sweet name, I knew something terrible was about to escape his lips, he continued speaking, “you’re my wife so I’ll wholeheartedly help you. I should text you my bank account details since that’s all you need right?”
I was perplexed, “I don’t understand sweetie”I said.
“You need me to buy the baby’s stuffs since you’re not in the position to go to the supermarket, so you should send me the money for me to be able to carry out the little assignment you’re giving me. $3,000 should do.”
“B- but-i-“I stuttered.
“Oh I see, you prefer giving it to me cash. Not bad! Don’t forget to add $40 for boarding a taxi also, I can’t walk all the way to the supermarket darling” he spoke gladly.
“N-nevermind sweetheart”
“I was really willing to help but if you say so.”
I put up a plastic smile while my heart broke once again. I quietly went back to bed without saying anything to me, I was just glad he didn’t ignore me this time like I didn’t exist.
