Chapter 12
#Liam’s POV#
How I wish he drank the water also. I hopped on the bed and shook Mum gently, she couldn’t speak, tears was streaming down her face as she gritted her teeth.
“Mum!!”my voice broke as the pain elevated again.
‘THUD!!!’ I heard at the corridor. It was Tory, she fell to the ground weakly, she had Abi in her trembling arms. Blood came rushing out of Abi’s mouth as her eyes were wide open, she couldn’t even blink.
“Mum!!Abi-”
The pendant shone more sucking all my energy and replacing it with pain. I collapsed on the bed.
“Convenant”I heard a voice whisper. The same voice that told me to hold on to the necklace; that feminine voice.
“Con-ve-nant”my lips spoke on their own.
“We are us!!”she shouted.
My world became a shade of shadows.

My eyes fluttered open slowly, I got up instantly, I was so glad to be alive. There was a tiny hose connected to my wrist. I was in an hospital?
I snatched the stupid hose off my wrist though it hurt but it’s worth the pain.
I made a beeline to the door and went out of the ward.
“Mum!!”I yelled ignored the fact that this was an hospital. Nurses and doctors were walking fiercely along the passage while some other nurses were pushing a bed with a severely injured man on it.
“Mum!!”I shouted. A nurse lunged at me.
“What are you doing here? Get back into your ward! Your health is at stake boy, so as my job!!!”she shouted trying not to sound peevish. However, I ignored her nagging.
“Where is my mother?” I asked.
“Get into your ward, This would do no good to your health. I’ll bring you breakfast as soon as you get back in there”. She wasn’t ready to help me so I walked away and kept shouting for my Mother like a lost baby goat(kid).
“Mum!!”
“I said get back in there. Your noise can cause so much disturbance to another patient”
“Where is my mother?!”
She sighed, “fine, I’ll take you to her. You’re so adamant”she spoke. I smiled at her.”Come with me”
She took me to Mum’s ward.
I walked over to her bed to see how well she was doing, but I was heartbroken and speechless to see Mum in such condition. She had her arms over her baby bump, despite she was unconscious, she was still protecting her child passionately. She doesn’t deserve being in such condition, she’s a great and compassionate mother, a nice woman. I shouldn’t have taken the dang necklace initially.
“Mum”my voice staggered.
The nurse squeezed my shoulder reassuringly, “she’s fine, she took some sleep meds”
“Oh- okay. My sisters?”
“The older one is doing fine. But the younger one is-……
