Chapter 11
#Liam’s POV#
I went into the bathroom in a swift and went to the laundry basket but it was empty.
Luke was right behind me watching me closely.
“Nigga, did you do my laundry?”
“Yes”
“Oh jeez. You’re such a g@y!!”
“You’re welcome”he grinned.
I rushed out of the bathroom and headed to my walk in closet. I scrolled through the closet till I found the trousers, I searched its pockets roughly but I didn’t find it.
“Looking for this?”. I turned to look at Luke. He had one of his hands crossed over his chest and the other shooting out and pointing its index at me. The necklace was suspended over his index dangling dramatically.
“D-i don-“I stuttered.
“Save it Liam. I never expected this from you. You’re always obedient. What happened to the obedient Liam when Miss Ruth asked us not to touch anything?”
“What? What are you talking about? That’s not from the orphanage” I lied.
“Lies. Raw lies. I see it in your eyes. Have you forgotten I’m your best friend, I can see through you”
“It’s not a lie!!”
“Then where did you get this? If you ever had it there’s no way I wouldn’t have known”
“So…”
“Where did you get this?”
“It’s none of your business!”
“I’m your best friend mahn. You can talk to me about anything!!”
“No. Just give it back, now!”
“Really? You’re yelling now? What is wrong with you? I just care about you!!”
“Then you should respect my privacy! And mostly don’t bath me, rather watch me stink. Privacy!!”I yelled as I pointed my index at his face.
“I thought we were friends”
“We are”
“Not anymore” he said as he threw the necklace on the floor.
“Yo. I’m sorry”I apologized.
“No you’re not”he shook his head bitterly and left. I picked the necklace before going after him but it was too late, he wasn’t in the mood to hear me out.
“Luke!!!”I shouted but he ignored me and left.
I picked the necklace and put it in my breast pocket. I went to the living room.
“Liam!!!”Abi exclaimed as she ran and clung to my leg. I smiled at her and carried her in my arms.
“I see you missed me alot”I smiled.
“Yes, alot, like this” she said as she spread her arms apart trying to show me how much she missed me. “Lu said you didn’t want to see us, is that true?”
“Yes, because I was busy studying along, though I missed you”I lied.
“Awwn”. “Mummy, Liam is here!!”she shouted. Mum came rushing out of the kitchen.
“Liam!!”Mum exclaimed, “are you okay?”
“Yes Mum”
“Hungry?”
“Of course I am”I said as I placed Abi on the floor gently.
“Just a minute.”Mum said, she rushed back to the kitchen.
“Tory!”I shouted.
“What is it?”I heard her voice from the dining, I went there to tease her. She was there smiling at her phone as usual. “Oh, hey you. Wait -Liam! You’re alive. F#ck!!”
“I’m glad you want me where I want you”I winked as I sat on the table.
“Six feets?”
“Exactly!”I smiled.
“It’s nice doing business with you”she winked back.
“Yup”
“Whatever. You missed the school party. Stella didn’t have a date”she smirked.
“F#ck!!”
“I’m glad you’re as disappointed as I am. You had a chance to have a girlfriend but you just disappeared when she needed you. Kudos, avatar the last death bender”she laughed.
“Arghh fuck!!”
Mum came in with the dishes. She placed them gently as she spoke, “Liam, don’t sit on the table”. I stood up and sat beside Tory. Mum made garlic shrimp and Quinoa.
I finished my food, though I wasn’t satisfied, Mum saw the non contentment on my face so she asked if I wanted a little from hers, I gladly said ‘yes’. I stretched my trunk across the table to give Mum my plate, then the necklace slipped out of my pocket and fell into the water jar at the centre of the table. I couldn’t shove my hand into the water to fetch it out as it would be gross so we’d have to drink the water that way till it’s finished. I poured the water into everyone’s glass and we all drank after the meal.

I was in my room trying to sleep when I felt a slight push in my belly. Soon, the push elevated into pain, I held onto my belly not knowing what’s going on. The crystal pendant began to glow, it glowed brighter and brighter as the pain elevated. I then remembered how the necklace fell into the jar of water we all drank from, my eyes widened.
“Ahh!!”I exclaimed as I gripped my stomach tightly.
“Argh f#ck!!”I heard from Tory’s room, she was crying out loud. I heard the cries of Abi also. I managed to get on my feet and exit my room heading to Mum’s. I fell as I pushed the door open, I forced myself ti crawl to where the bed was.
“Arrrgh”I groaned as my belly hurt more.
I got on my feet again refusing to give up, Mum was gripping her little baby bump whimpering like a child, while Dad was just staring at her like he had not a care in the world.
“F#ck!!”I yelled. “Dad, help her!!”
He ignored me……..
